Project Description:
Conservation work, alterations and extension to the existing Grade 1 listed building to facilitate improved access for the viewing public, provision of educational accommodation, toilets and disabled access. This project was part funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund.
The team behind the renovation of the Dragon Hall for Norfolk and Norwich Heritage Trust had to design a glass structure linking a 16th century building with a 15th century hall and a 12th century oak façade which would maintain comfortable conditions. What’s more, it had to be built with no visual supports obscuring the original fabrics.
