Project Description:
The project consisted of the refurbishment of an old office and warehouse building into a state of the art ambulance station serving both Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART) and SCAS organisations.
The refurbishment of the existing building included the provision of new medical gas rooms, training rooms, chemical stores, shower and toilet complexes, general office areas, sluice rooms, two large ambulance garages and lecture rooms with the latest audio visual technology.
The HART and SCAS areas had to be separated as they worked on different time frames and so careful consideration of services separations and security access was essential.
